    Superb

The location, the freindliness of the staff and the luxury of the hotel and hotel room

The room was a little on the small side

The warmth, helpfulness and professionalism of the staff. The decor and ambience are simply wonderful. On our last trip to Brugge we stayed at the Walberg Hotel (now closed) which was more expensive but we prefer the Hotel de Orangerie and will most definitely return.

Our experience was outstanding, from first to last. The staff were first class and spared no effort in assisting us in every way possible. I look forward to my next visit.

Unique hotel, with excellent service. The room was spacious and expensively decorated/furnished. This hotel pays attention to detail and offers extra friendly but professional service. The breakfast, which included a glass of champagne (which we did not know about until asked by our waitress), was excellent. It is in a great location and sits next to the canal. The lovely sitting room has an open fire, which was always lit. Overall a very good hotel, although quite expensive, to me it was worth every penny. I would definitely recommend it and return to this fabulous city and hotel again.

Although we did not eat at the hotel in the evening, it would have been better if they offered a gourmet dinner.

We were staying for only one day. But, This hotel's service and location is perfect as the ultimate.

    Superb

It was the comfort and style relaxed atmosphere and good location for the town

The bathroom facilities were tired and in some cases broken, they really needed refurbishment.

The room was lovely with a perfect location within the hotel. The lounge area had a great atmosphere & a good choice of quality drinks. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive without being obtrusive in any way.

The towels didn't feel very luxury but that is such a minor point!

Excelent breakfast outstanding staff, nice room , very cozy. Near to the shops. There was a very good walking tour in the town free and organized by the hotel. Congralutations for the guide - very simphatic.

Great location, very friendly staff and lovely decor in main areas.

    Bathroom needs a little updating

    Superb

Perfect location and outstanding staff. This is a charming, well done conversion of an older building which has had at least two prior lives! This means some compromises are required in your definition of "luxury". For example no separate spa or pool or exercise facility, etc. But for a comfortable environment, nicely appointed with antiques, draperies, etc. - this can't be beat!

Now I see why they can charge so much for an included breakfast. You really have to hunt the neighborhood for an alternative prior to mid day!

Great, but thankfully quiet location central to the main tourist sites, Excellent, inexpensive, secure car park In the main the staff were charming Public spaces are delightfully presented Comfortable spacious bed,

We stayed in the Gate Room, perfectly pleasant bedroom, tastefully decorated; with the most stained carpet I have ever seen in a hotel room The television offered few of the stations advertised, a request for it to be attended to was not met with any success. The bathroom was extremely poor, loo squashed into a corner and only a hand shower in the bath. The water pressure from the taps was miserable, but ferocious when using the shower; which made any attempt to use it tricky and messy. This was not a luxury bathroom that needed tidying up, it had never been a luxury bathroom. The terrace for drinks and afternoon tea is adjacent to a mooring station for the canal cruises, thus noisy and overlooked. I reported my concerns to the receptionist, she assured mr sincerley but superciliouly, that nobody had every drawn these matters to rhein attention, and that the hotel was puportedly in the process of being refurbished, therefore it wouldn't be a problem for much longer, not entirely helpful. In conclusion, a small hotel, but not a luxury one, at 200€ a night certain ally not good value.

Immaculate rooms and quite possibly the most friendly and helpful hotel staff we've ever encountered. We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived; in fact, the staff did such a good it often felt like it was home.

Hardly a criticism I know but it was such a haven of wonderfulness that we might not have seen as much of Bruges as would have done if we'd stayed somewhere else.
